Fluid Motion
"Stillness is the master of motion" - Tai Chi principle
Developing a fluid, powerful and consistent swing has as much to do with being relaxed at address, as it does with "getting your swing technique right".
As a keen golfer, I'm sure you're aware that 10 different swing coaches can have 10 different approaches to the golf swing and this can be confusing, frustrating and ultimately counter-productive. It also denies you the ability to relax and find your "signature swing", which is the swing that's right for you.
Yet whichever approach you take - whichever swing method you use - there are certain fundamentals that are pre-requisite to good shot making and are apparent every time you set-up well and make a smooth swing.
These fundamentals are what we teach at chi-power GOLF, knowing that any golfer who can replicate these things before striking the ball will have a swing that is rhythmic, effortless and above all repeatable.
So what are these fundamentals?
Well, every time you've hit a great shot and come close to your "signature swing", you've been mentally and physically relaxed at address. Chances are you've also been breathing quite deeply, your mind has been free of excessive swing thoughts and you've had a high degree of confidence in your ability.
To borrow a phrase from Tai Chi, you've understood instinctively that "stillness is the master of motion" or as sports scientists have noted, "the quality of the gap determines the quality of the motion".
Our role at chi-power GOLF is to help you become aware of the 'gap' before taking your shot - keeping you relaxed, balanced and confident each and every time you address the ball.
